Michael Steinhauser, born in Brooklyn, New York and a Torontonian by choice, has been painting

in oils since he was twelve years old. He studied oil painting at Trinity Studio on Montrose

Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. After a long academic career in the United States, Europe and

Canada, in 1993 Steinhauser returned to being an active artist. He undertook further studies in

the area of Classical Realism, joining the studios of Graham Bibby and Klaas Hart. He also

studied at the Toronto School of Art, Sheridan College and The Haliburton School of Fine Arts.

His drawings and paintings are in private collections across North America. Steinhauser is

represented by the RedEye Studio Gallery in The Distillery Historic District, 55 Mill Street,

Toronto.
